Theron E. "Ted"  Luce
Theron E. "Ted" Luce, 90, of Enfield, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Evergreen Health Care in Stafford, CT. Born in Hampden, Maine on January 19, 1926, son of the late Hollis and Ezelda (Littlefield) Luce, he lived in Enfield for 52 years. A veteran of the United States Navy, he proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he enjoyed a long career working for Wickes Lumber Company, Windsor Locks. He enjoyed reading and traveling. He leaves two children, Tim Luce of Peace Dale, RI and Deborah Savage and her husband, Robert of Enfield; a sister, Lorraine LaBelle of Springfield, MA; three grandchildren, Jason Penn and his wife, Lori of Cromwell, Nicole Lonergan and her husband, Michael of Sudbury, MA and Edward Savage and his wife, Heather of Riverview, FL; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Jeanette (Sigler) Luce and three brothers and a sister.
His family will receive friends on Monday, May 16 from 5 to 7 p.m., at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
