Jean R. "Rocky"  Bourke
Jean "Rocky" Bourke, 88, of Windsor Locks beloved husband of 64 years to Ruth (Quaglioaroli) Bourke passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Hartford Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born on June 24, 1927, in Hartford, CT the son of the late William and Ada (Brawn) Bourke. Rocky proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the World War II. He was a resident of Windsor Locks since 1952 and was a communicant of St. Mary Church. In addition to his loving wife Ruth, he is survived by four grandchildren, Megan, Mark, Michael, and Maureen McDonald and a son-in-law Richard McDonald. Rocky was predeceased by his two children, John "Jackie" Bourke and Judith B. McDonald. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. A procession will gather on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations in Rocky's memory may be made to Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance, P.O. Box 105, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
