Obituary for Alice Julia Ringo

Alice Julia (Corrigan) Ringo, 94, beloved wife of the late France W. Ringo entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the Jewish Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 8, 1921, in Hartford, CT the daughter of the late Francis and Sarah (McDonough) Corrigan. Alice lived in Windsor Locks for 35 years before moving to Windsor in 1994. She is survived by two children, Mary Ann Slaga and her husband Leonard of Somers, and John Ringo and his wife Cheryl of Colchester; five grandchildren, Damian Beltrandi and his wife Lisa of Andover, MA, Carrie Burke and her husband Desmond of Longmeadow, MA, Amy Appell and her husband Brian of Longmeadow, MA, and Brett Ringo and his wife Diana of San Diego, CA and Sarah Ringo of Colchester; eight great-grandchildren; a brother James Corrigan of Berlin and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband France, Alice was predeceased by a daughter Sharon Lynn Ringo, two sisters, Anne Corrigan, Mary Cashen and a brother Francis Corrigan. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks (Please meet at church). Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations in Alice's memory may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
