Obituary for Joanne H. Larson

Joanne H. Larson, 65, of Enfield, beloved wife of Bruce Larson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at home. She was born on June 25, 1951, in Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Harmon and Barbara (St. Peter) Haynes. Joanne was a resident of Enfield for nineteen years, she was employed for the Town of Enfield for fifteen years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, art, and painting. Joanne was an avid cook, she enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren in "Grandma's kitchen". In addition to her husband Bruce, she is survived by a son Timothy McGrath and his fiancée Andrada of Springfield; three step children, Christopher Larson and his wife Amber of Broad Brook, Melissa Agey and her husband Pete of Enfield, and Kimberly Larson of Suffield; seven grandchildren, Erik McGrath, Trayton, Colton, and Skylar Agey, Chase and Rider Larson, and Tommy Flewelling; two brothers Ralph St. Peter, and Wilfred St. Peter; five sisters, Jean-Marie Salle, Nora Haynes, Terry Haynes, Barbara-Ann Maxwell, and Lori Heikkila; two brother in laws, Craig Larson and Wayne Larson and his wife Libra and their son Tyler Waterman, and extended family Katie and Jason Bycoski and their children Emily and Abigail. Joanne was predeceased by a sister Jeannie Gabaree. Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Joanne's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street,I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06076.
