Darleen Evelyn  Robinson
Darleen Evelyn Robinson, 84, of East Windsor, CT entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 26, 2016, at Touchpoints at Chestnut. She was born February 12, 1932, in Hartford, CT to the late David H. and Ruth E. (Maynard) Robinson moving to Vernon in 1935. She was a loving, compassionate woman by all who knew her. She loved to knit and write and especially read her bible everyday for as long as she was able. She was a devout Christian and taught Sunday school at several churches. She sang in the choir at First Congregational Church of Vernon and as a teen was a member of the Kings Daughters led by Grace Risley of Vernon. She was also a member of Ellington Congregational Church and then Bethany Baptist Church in East Windsor who visited her frequently during her time at Touchpoints. She is survived by her three children; daughter, Judith Sibley and her husband Mark of Portsmouth, VA; two sons, John E. McKnight and companion Patricia Malone of Broad Brook, CT and Jeffrey McKnight of Ellington, CT; five granddaughters, Jessica, Emily, Heather, Katy and Hannah; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Campbell, Nathan, Chloe, and Edyn; her sister, Ellen R. Lancaster and her husband, Murray of Staffordville, CT; her brother, Gary W. Robinson and his wife, Nancy of Ellington; sister-in-law, Barbara J. Robinson of Stafford Springs, CT and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and David Robinson. There are no calling hours and graveside services for Darleen will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church of East Windsor or to a charity of your choice.
