Douglas J. Perkins Sr., 92, a long time resident of Enfield, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Wingate at East Longmeadow. He was born on February 3, 1924 in Hartford, son of the late Charles N. Perkins and Harriet (Rivers) Perkins. He was a WW II Army veteran who served his country honorably. Before retiring he was employed as a Iron Worker for Hartford Wire Works. He enjoyed walking, as well as all nature and bird watching. He leaves four children, Douglas J. Perkins Jr., and his wife, Marcia in Colorado, Bruce Perkins and his wife, Michelle in North Carolina, Darlene Faulkner and her husband, James of Newington and Brenda Uricchio and her husband, Vincent of Enfield; grandchildren, including Tara Graffeo, Tiffany, Matthew, and Shawna Perkins, Dannielle Dorbuck, Joel Faulkner, Leigh and Kyle Uricchio; great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Albert) Perkins. There are no calling hours or services at this time.
