Obituary for John P. "Jack" Spalluto

John “Jack” Spalluto, age 64 of Windsor Locks and formerly of Bristol, Connecticut passed away peacefully on January 19, 2017, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jack was born in Bristol on March 23, 1952 to the late Patrick and Mary (Spinelli) Spalluto. He is survived by his brother Joseph, his sister-in-law, Ellen and his nieces, Maureen, Carolyn, and Caitlin Spalluto from West Hartford. Jack also leaves his aunts, Isabella “Sadie” Spalluto Munson and Rosalie Spalluto both of Windsor Locks. He was predeceased by his grandmother Anna Spinelli, stepmother, Lucrezia, and a brother Patrick. Jack was devoted to the Blessed Mother and to his catholic faith. He was a loyal friend to many. Our special thanks extend to the Seaha and Clark families for all of their caring support. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Francis Hospital, The Smilow Cancer Center at St. Francis, Kimberly Hall and Masonicare for their outstanding care and support throughout Jack’s illness. We will gather to celebrate Jack’s life on Monday, January 23, 2017 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. The family will receive family and friends prior to the funeral Mass from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Those planning to join the family at the funeral Mass are asked to remember Jack by wearing something red, which was his favorite color. Burial will be private at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jack’s memory to The St. Francis Hospital Hope and Caring Campaign, www.saintfrancisdonor.com or St. Francis Foundation, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105, and The Ron Foley Foundation, www.RonsRun.org or 1000 Farmington Ave., Suite 108A West Hartford, CT 06107, a foundation assisting those suffering from pancreatic cancer.
