Obituary for Matthew Ryan Dansereau

Matthew Ryan Dansereau
Matthew Ryan Dansereau, 32, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Matt grew up in West Suffield and loved skate boarding where he took first place in the Skateboard Championship. He graduated in 2003 from Suffield High School. Matt then went on to become a chef, studying at the former Lincoln Culinary School in Suffield. He worked for area restaurants and for Carla Pasta in the research and development department. Matt’s passion for music, which was a big part of his life, included playing drums and writing song lyrics. He loved the outdoors, and fishing ever since he was a very young boy. He was also an enthusiastic animal lover, a volunteer for the Double Dog Rescue Association where he fostered numerous dogs, placing them in homes. He was an avid moviegoer and was able to recite whole scenes from movies without breaking character. Matt will be remembered as someone who had a big heart and who was always kind, caring, and compassionate. He was predeceased by his mother, Judith (Lincavicks) Dansereau in 2013. He leaves his father and his wife, Pierre and Sandi (Marino) Dansereau of Farmington, a brother and his wife, Michael and Katie Dansereau of Shelton, a sister, Kelly Dansereau of West Hartford, his former wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Brunette, two step-brothers, Daniel and his wife Danielle Mikulak of Marlborough, Jacob Mikulak of Farmington, two paternal uncles and their wives, Ivan and Lili Dansereau, Christian and Mary Dansereau, three maternal aunts and their husbands, Patricia and Tony Aloisi, Lynda and Michael Healey, Lori and John Perron, two maternal uncles, Robert and his wife Debbie Lincavicks, Roy Lincavicks, a nephew, Evan Dansereau, and a niece, Sophie Dansereau. Matt will also be missed by cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to meet on Friday, June 23, 2017, at 10am at St. John Church, 19 St. John Square, followed by burial in St. John Cemetery both in Middletown. Calling hours are Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, from 4-7pm. Donations may be made to Double Dog Rescue Association.
