Juliet Robtoy (Smarse)
Juliet (Smarse) Robtoy 86, of Windsor Locks loving wife and best friend of Howard Robtoy entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Juliet was born January 31, 1931, in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late John and Irene (Gauthier) Smarse. Juliet was a homemaker most of her life, staying home to raise her family. She worked at the Terrace Dining Room at Bradley Airport to help support her growing family. She enjoyed cooking, especially during the holidays. Some of Juliet’s passions were watching movies, tending to her many gardens, and she had a love for reading. Even after raising a large family Juliet never lost her wonderful sense of humor. She and Howard were snow birds for many years, spending the winter months in Florida. They were well traveled including many trips to Maine, New Hampshire, Cape Cod, Lancaster, PA, and journeyed cross country. Juliet will be deeply missed and remembered for her kind heart, she always put others needs before hers. In addition to her husband, Howard to whom she was married 63 years, she is also survived by her six children, Cynthia Danner and her husband Jerry, Carol Gagnon, Donna Robtoy, Cathy Small and her husband Derek, Bruce Robtoy and his wife Susan, and Bryan Robtoy; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; her sister, June Dowling; two brothers, Clarence and Gordon Smarse; many nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dog, Meggie. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Robert Smarse; a granddaughter, Ashley Charette and a grandson, Frank Theodore, III. Juliet’s family would like to thank the staff at Masonicare, especially Dina Bates for the wonderful and compassionate care she received.
