Kenneth A. George, 74, of Enfield loving husband of Rose (Venturi) George passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Ken was born March 24, 1944, in Revere, MA the son of the late Alex and Hellen (Boczkowski) George. Ken proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired in 2009 as MIS Programmer from the Brooks Brothers Company after 28 years. Ken was an avid golfer and golfed in the Brooks Brothers Golf League. He was an avid fan of the Boston Sports teams, a trait he loving passed down to his beloved grandson Nolan. Ken coached his daughter's softball team and coached his grandson's Basketball and Roller Hockey teams. He was a proud member of the Tin Can Sailors of MA. In addition to his wife, Rose to whom he was married 49 years, he is also survived by his loving daughter, Holly Skehan; his best bud and beloved grandson, Nolan Skehan all of Enfield. Kenneth is also survived by two sisters, Susan Burt and husband, Bill of Las Vegas, NV and Cindy George and her companion Carl Rorrie of Bellingham, MA; his nieces and their families, Pat Ballargeon and husband, Dave, Christine Gagliardi and husband, Tony, Diane Milo, and Melissa Mauro and husband, Mark; his brother-in-law, Gregory Venturi, and a host of many other extended family members. Ken was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Dolores Venturi and a brother-in-law, Nicola Venturi. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service will be celebrated at 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tin Can Sailors, Inc.
