Lorraine Opito, 93, formerly of Windsor Locks, entered into eternal peace Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was born and raised in Hartford and was a graduate of Hartford High School, class of '43. She was employed by Colt Firearms and later Pratt & Whitney. She also worked as a teacher's aide for the Windsor Locks Public Schools. She loved flowers , gardening, and caring for the animals that visited her yard. She is survived by two sons, Michael Opito and his wife Carol of Manchester, and Thomas Opito of Enfield; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Leah, Michael, and Timothy; a great granddaughter Madison, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis Murphy and Danny Delaney. Visitation hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Windsor Locks.
