Richard Dick Stevens, a licensed funeral director in CT and MA, has been affiliated with his family's business, Leete-Stevens Family Funeral Homes, since 1968, and served as President for over 40 years. He received his Degrees from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and Mitchell College. A lifelong resident of Enfield, Dick has served his community for many years in many capacities, including membership in the Enfield Rotary Club since 1971, served as the commissioner of the Enfield Fire District for over 30 years. He served on the board of directors of the former Enfield Federal Savings and New England Bankshares Board of Directors, and is a  Member of the National and Connecticut Funeral Directors Associations. Dick also was the past President of the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and the former Tobacco Valley Tourist District. He is a communicant of St. Adalbert's Church and also a member of the Masonic Lodge Composite 28, and a member of the Sphinx Shriners Temple since 1970. Dick is the Vice President and Trustee of the Enfield Cemetery Association for over 30 years. Dick also served on several different committees in the town, including the building of the Enfield Police Complex. Dick and his family have sponsored the Stevens Family Scholarship Fund for college students through the Enfield Rotary Scholarship Fund. Dick has two children, his son, Sean M. Stevens, married to Kendall Ward Stevens; and his daughter, Sarah S. DeSimone, married to Shawn DeSimone. Sean and Kendall are the parents of Dick's grandsons, Chase Leete and Fischer Drew Stevens, and Sarah and Shawn are the parents of Dick's granddaughter, Sophia Elizabeth DeSimone. In his leisure time, Dick's interests include fly fishing, salt water fishing, genealogy, hiking, environmental projects, boating, history, and restoration projects. He is also a member of the CT River Salmon Association, the Atlantic Salmon Federation (ASF), Bonefish and Tarpon and Trust, Narragansett Surfcastors, the Enfield Society for the Detection of Thieves and Robbers, and the Enfield Historical Society. Dick and his staff treat the families they serve as if they were their own and are dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable care.
