Florence "Sis" Lynch, 92, of Enfield entered into eternal rest Monday Aug. 15, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1924 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Edward J. Sr. and Margaret (Rostek) Lynch. Sis was a resident of the Enfield community most of her life, attended the Wallop School, a one room school house on the corner of Abbe Road and Wallop School Road and graduated from Enfield High School, Class of 1941. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Enfield Historical Society. Sis was employed by the FAA as a secretary of over 40 years before retiring many years ago. Her niece, Maria "Peggy" Reed and her husband Arthur and their children Heather and Karen made their home with Sis for the past 20 years. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Francis and Robert Rochette and Edward J. Lynch Jr. Sis's family will gather Friday Aug. 19, 2016 at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road to receive relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral procession to St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Broad Brook.
